The Blazier PTA Executive Board
2024- 2025
Veridiana, President
Deena, VP of Fundraising
Deena’s son is a first grader at Blazier Elementary. Having previously served as a staff member to several city and county elected officials, Deena is no stranger to Austin and how to move things along. She holds a steadfast belief in equitable public education for all students in all parts of our community. She lives with her husband, son, and pup, Tito, in Onion Creek.
Katie was born and raised in Central Austin. She has three adult age daughters and now a proud Blazier parent with a son in second grade. She enjoys traveling with family, crafting, sports, and participating in school activities. Katie served as a Room Parent Volunteer since joining Blazier and is excited to serve the Blazier Community as a PTA Board member.

Lena's journey from Cambodia as a refugee to becoming a first-generation college graduate in Minnesota, and now calling Texas home since 2008, has enriched her vibrant role within the community. For the past years, she has been a dedicated PTA volunteer, now serving as the Chair of Appreciation (don’t miss her famous egg rolls!), where she passionately supports the teachers and staff in shaping our children's futures. A proud Blaizer mom of a 5th grader, Lena and her husband cherish the close-knit life they enjoy in McKinney Heights.
Lena, Chair of Appreciation
Morgan is a native Austinite with deep roots in the community. She has an adult, married stepson who attended AISD schools and continues to reside in Austin. Now, as a proud Blazier mom of two boys, kindergarten and third grade. Morgan enjoys the lively dynamic of a dual-language household, as her husband is from Mexico. With extended family all living in the greater Austin area, her family stays active with various events, sports, concerts, and frequent travels (for work and play). Plus we have two dogs.
Morgan, Secretary
Nathaly moved from Mexico two years ago, is mother of a third-grade student enrolled in the Dual Language program. With a background in administration, she is deeply committed to improving her English and social skills to be actively involved in her child's education and support the school community. As an immigrant mother, she understands the challenges faced by families still mastering the language. In her role as Communications and Social Media Coordinator for the PTA, she is dedicated to strengthening communication and participation among these families at Blazier. Her goal is to ensure that language barriers do not prevent parents from fully integrating and actively contributing to the success of their children and the school. She works to create an inclusive environment where every family feels valued and an essential part of the school community.
Nathaly, Chair of Communications
